Jeffrey Ernstoff To Speak / Perform at Manhattan's 92Y Tribeca
New York, NY, May 2011

After receiving rave reviews from  over 100 audience attendees for his presentation on "Gershwin - the Music And The Stories Behind It" last Spring,  Jeffrey will speak/perform  at lower Manhattan's  92Y Tribeca ( the downtown affiliate for the world famous uptown 92nd Street Y).

92Y Tribeca's Head of Daytime Programming, Debbie Himmelfarb,  described the Gershwin  presentation "one  of the best, most enthusiastically  received programs we've ever presented.  We'll definitely have him back, repeatedly."

On May 19th, Jeffrey will present a one hour overview of the Saxophone - one of the world's  most unusual instruments.  His  "informance" will reference Adolph Sax and how  his invention progressed from use in military bands to the concert hall's of Europe (in pieces by Maurice Ravel), the  U.S.A., and jazz and pop communities at large.  Performing on  tenor, alto, soprano and sopranino saxophones, Jeffrey will give an insider's view of the horn made famous by the likes of  Coleman Hawkins,  Charlie Parker, Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane, et al.
